For most people in Virginia and across the country, being arrested is the last thing they think will happen to them. When the charges are such that they will not only cause problems for the person who was arrested but will also stir public outrage against them, it is significantly worse. Recently, Mark Salling, a former actor on the hit television program “Glee,” was arrested on charges related to possession of child pornography in Los Angeles. Mr. Salling is 33 and played “Puck” on the program. The arrest was made after a search of his home. The spokesman for the Los Angeles Police Department affirmed that the arrest had been made at approximately 9 a.m. Mr. Salling posted $20,000 and was released on bail that same day.
The mere words “child pornography” connote negative implications. If there is a conviction, it will often lead to harsh fines and jail time. The person will undoubtedly have to become part of a sex offender registry wherever he or she goes. It can follow the person around forever.

Or the person could simply have made a mistake and gotten caught up in a situation that led to the charges.
