Actress Rose McGowan has a warrant out for her arrest in relation to drug charges stemming from an incident at Virginia's Dulles Airport. The incident occurred when McGowan's luggage tested positive for narcotics, after she left her luggage on the plane.

McGowan is wanted for drug possession of a controlled substance and may face a felony charge, if she is arrested. Police have attempted to reach out to McGowan so that she can respond to the charge during a court appearance. McGowan, who recently revealed that she was sexually assaulted by Harvey Weinstein, tweeted her opposition to the warrant and asked, "Are they trying to silence me?"

McGowan could face serious consequences if she is convicted of a felony. If you find yourself facing drug charges, it is in your best interest to talk to a qualified criminal defense attorney about your case. Your attorney can evaluate and determine the best course of action to take to defend against the charges you are facing.

One common defense in drug possession cases involves the Fourth Amendment. The Fourth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution protects people from unreasonable search and seizure. In other words, in order for police to conduct a search, arrest someone or seize crime-related property, there must be probable cause. However, the Fourth Amendment only applies in places where the person has a "legitimate expectation of privacy." Talk to your attorney to find out if you have Fourth Amendment protections in your case.
