Police are searching for one or more suspects who shot out dozens of car windows in Springfield-area neighborhoods over the past week.

The suspect either used a pellet or BB gun in the shootings, which primarily occurred between the hours of 1 a.m. and 3 a.m. in the Newington Forest and Terra Grande neighborhoods, police said.

The most recent shooting was on Thursday.

In one instance, the vehicle was occupied when the windows were shot, police said.

The suspect or suspects are believed to be driving a silver Honda CRV. Police said the suspect or suspects generally target the rear windows of minivans or SUVs.

Police released surveillance video of the suspect’s vehicle.
